1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to Content Compass AI! These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Content Compass AI Chrome Extension (the "Extension" or "Service") provided by Saurabh Daftary ("we," "us," or "our"). By installing, accessing, or using the Extension, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use the Extension.

2. Accounts & Registration

To access certain features, including paid subscription plans, you must register for an account using a valid email address and create a password. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. License Grant

Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable license to install and use the Extension for your personal or internal business purposes related to analyzing YouTube videos and generating feedback surveys, according to your chosen subscription plan.

4. Subscription Plans, Payments, and Usage Limits

• Plans: We offer various subscription plans ("Free", "Content Creator", "Content Pro", "Content Master") with different usage limits (e.g., number of AI survey generations or comment analyses, often referred to as "credits") and features, as detailed on our website (contentcompassai.com) or within the Extension.
• Billing: Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (e.g., monthly) in advance via our third-party payment processor, Stripe. By providing payment information, you authorize us (through Stripe) to charge the applicable subscription fees.
• Usage Limits: Your use of certain features (like AI survey generation) is subject to the limits of your chosen plan. We reserve the right to measure usage and enforce these limits. Exceeding limits may require upgrading your plan or may result in restricted access to features.
• Payment Failures: If recurring payment fails, we (via Stripe) may retry charging. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to paid features for accounts with failed payments.
• Cancellations: You may cancel your paid subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal (accessible via the Extension or website). Cancellations will take effect at the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds: Subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
• Price Changes: We reserve the right to change subscription fees upon reasonable prior notice.

5. Use Restrictions

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the Extension.
• Use the Extension for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations.
• Remove or obscure any proprietary notices.
• Use the Extension to generate content that is harmful, infringing, or violates the rights of others.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service.
• Sell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Extension.

6. Third-Party Services & Content

The Extension relies on and interacts with third-party services, including:

• Google APIs (Forms, Drive, OAuth): Your use is subject to Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. We require your authorization via Google OAuth to create forms on your behalf.
• Stripe: Payment processing is handled by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms and privacy policy.
• Supabase: Our backend infrastructure provider.
• AI Services (e.g., Google Gemini): Used for analyzing content and generating questions. Your use implies acceptance that data may be processed by these services.
• YouTube: The Extension interacts with YouTube content based on your Browse. Your use of YouTube is governed by their terms. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or policies of these third-party services.

7. Intellectual Property

The Extension and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Saurabh Daftary and its licensors, protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. The license granted herein does not transfer any ownership rights.

8. Disclaimers

THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE. AI-GENERATED CONTENT MAY CONTAIN INACCURACIES; YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING AND EDITING SURVEY QUESTIONS.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL SAURABH DAFTARY BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM (A) YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF OR INABILITY TO ACCESS OR USE THE SERVICE; (B) ANY CONDUCT OR CONTENT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; OR (C) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS, USE, OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR CONTENT.

10. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including, without limitation, if you breach the Terms. You may terminate your account by cancelling your subscription and ceasing use of the Extension. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide reasonable notice prior to any new terms taking effect (e.g., via email or in-extension notification).
